Physiotherapists are specialists in the structure of the human body and its movement and can help you function optimally and live well. They assess your injury or condition and help you comprehend what may be going on. Your treatment plan will consider your way of life, activities and general health. Because Physiotherapists are first-contact practitioners, you do not need a doctor's referral to see one.
At your initial appointment, your Physiotherapist will take a comprehensive history to get an understanding of your injury or condition and the circumstances that may have led to your condition, considering your whole person. Our Physiotherapist is an AHPRA-registered Manual Therapist who has acquired further training to comprehend the body's many compensation processes.
Physiotherapy treatment may include joint mobilisation to reduce pain and stiffness, muscle re-education to improve control, movement therapies such as clinical Pilates, breathing for nervous system regulation, soft tissue mobilisation (massage), dry needling and rehabilitation exercise to improve balance, mobility, and muscle strength.
